Soul Project #1a - Credo in Deum - due Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2015 (Typed)
Take time to reflect upon your own understanding of God, your “practical working creed” as T. says. What do you believe about God? Who is God to you - on your good days? On your bad days? Who is it that you come to in prayer? You may experience the temptation to write “the right answer” - the one you think you should write, or I would want to see, or the one that you think God wants you to write. Of course, he wants us to know him more as he is, but he also wants us to get in touch with who we are and the beliefs we hold about him without fear of chastisement. We are all on the journey toward knowing & loving him more. I am sure I have wrong beliefs about him. We can only progress when we start where we are, just as we are. That’s all God asks of us. We can do nothing else. We may never fear that he will show us more of the truth of who he is as we seek Him faithfully with hope and love.
